Probably the Best Tea in the World

POSITIONED ON THE SLOPES of the highest mountain in Sumatra, Kerinci, Kayu Aro plantation was opened in 1920′s by a Dutch company, NV. HVA (Namlodse Venotchaaf Handle Vereeniging Amsterdam). In 1959, the plantation and fabric was taken over by Indonesia government. The main product of Kayu Aro, black tea (ortodox) has been considered as one of the finest materials of tea making. In fact, it is the oldest tea plantation in the country, the largest single-area of tea plantation in the world as well.  ~~back to photostory index
